Father teaching son about moneyFinancial literacy is a critical component of overall well-being, yet it’s often overlooked or ignored. At Arlington Thrive, we believe that everyone should have access to the tools and knowledge they need to achieve financial stability and independence. That’s why we’re proud to celebrate Financial Literacy Month, an opportunity to shed light on the importance of financial education and empowerment.

As Arlington’s financial emergency room, we are committed to providing our community members with the resources and support they need to achieve financial stability and independence.  At Arlington Thrive, we’re particularly proud of our caring social workers, all of whom are Financial Social Work Certified. This certification underscores our commitment to helping our clients manage their finances, access resources, and build financial resilience.

Throughout the month, we’ll be focusing on four weekly themes designed to provide valuable resources and information to our community. During week one, we’ll be focusing on Financial Basics, sharing tips and tools for creating a solid financial foundation. Week two will be all about Building Financial Security, with a focus on investing, retirement planning, and saving for a rainy day. During week three, we’ll be highlighting the importance of Financial Advocacy, sharing information on financial policies and regulations, and ways to advocate for financial education and empowerment. Finally, in week four, we’ll be focusing on Financial Resilience, sharing tips for managing financial stress, navigating financial setbacks, and building a financial safety net.

By sharing our expertise, knowledge, and resources, we hope to empower our community to take control of their finances and build a brighter future. We invite you to join us in celebrating Financial Literacy Month and advocating for financial education and empowerment for all. Let’s build a more financially literate and resilient community together.
