Employer Matched Giving

Employer Matched Giving can double the value of an employee’s gift. While many employers match gifts dollar-for-dollar, some companies will give double or even triple the original donation. Typically, individuals must submit forms to their employers.

If your employer offers this incentive for your philanthropic giving, please submit any required form or verification letter to donations@arlingtonthrive.org and reference the date and amount of your donation.

Combined Federal Campaign

Federal employees can donate to the nonprofit of their choice through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Show your support for neighbors in need by designating Arlington Thrive as a recipient of your CFC contribution.

The Arlington Thrive Combined Federal Campaign donation ID code is "27295." Make sure to indicate this number on the CFC donation form distributed by your federal employer.

Give Through Your IRA (Qualified Charitable Distribution)

If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax‑smart gift to Arlington Thrive directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

A QCD allows you to give directly from your IRA to a qualified nonprofit like Arlington Thrive—without counting the distribution as taxable income.

Why consider a QCD?

  • Your gift may reduce your taxable income
  • It can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) if you are required to take one
  • You give meaningful support to Arlington neighbors while potentially lowering your tax burden

How it works

  • You must be age 70½ or older at the time of the gift
  • The gift must be made directly from your IRA to Arlington Thrive (not first to you)
  • Most traditional IRAs and inherited IRAs qualify
  • You can give up to the IRS annual limit per year

How to make a QCD gift to Arlington Thrive

  1. Contact your IRA administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
  2. Ask them to send the distribution directly to Arlington Thrive.
  3. Be sure your gift includes your name and address so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.

Because tax situations vary, we recommend speaking with your financial or tax advisor to determine whether a QCD is right for you.
