Give It Up, D.C.: Our 2023 Giving Guide

The cost of living in metro D.C. is among the highest in the nation, placing immense strain on families with low incomes, particularly when temporary unemployment, an unexpected illness, or a financial crisis strikes. Since 1975, Arlington Thrive has been the only nonprofit to provide same-day emergency financial assistance to residents of the county who cannot pay for their basic needs: rent, utilities, medical bills, work-related transportation, child care, and other emergencies.
