The holiday season is a time for families to come together, create cherished traditions, and fill homes with warmth and joy. Yet, for many of our neighbors in Arlington, winter can be an especially challenging season. Rising costs for utilities and groceries, coupled with the need to provide children with winter essentials, can make the winter season stressful instead of magical.

That’s where the power of community shines brightest. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Fito Garcia of Inca Social and many caring neighbors, Arlington Thrive distributed toys to nearly 200 children across Arlington. From bikes to Barbies, these gifts brought smiles to little faces and a sense of relief to parents—one less worry for Santa and a reminder that kindness is alive and well in our community.

As families collected the hand-picked toys for their children, we shared tender moments with each person.

“Every time my kids are in need of clothes or school supplies, I know Arlington Thrive will be there to help. Thank you for making this happen for my kids.” – Rana*, Arlington mother of 3

This year has tested families in countless ways, from sudden job losses to reductions in safety net programs – the holidays can be daunting to tackle alone. Through every moment of uncertainty, Arlington Thrive remains committed to being a lifeline for our neighbors. Whether it’s emergency assistance, essential resources, or simply a helping hand, we are proud to stand alongside our community when it matters most.

As the official season of giving comes to a close, we invite you to join us in making a continued and sustained difference in our neighbors’ lives. Together, we can ensure that every family in Arlington feels supported, valued, and cared for—not just during the holidays, but all year long.
