Cindy MedranoMeet Cindy Medrano, the Manager of Case Management at Arlington Thrive! Cindy joined the organization as a part-time case manager in June of 2020 and quickly made an impact in the community. Her dedication and passion for helping underserved individuals and families have been recognized by her colleagues and clients alike.

Cindy describes Arlington Thrive as a unique organization with a strong mission that can be challenging to achieve but is also incredibly rewarding. She loves that the organization focuses on the well-being of the community and provides emergency financial assistance to those who need it the most.  Cindy notes with pride that clients “know that we are their safety net and we’re here to ease the financial burden during a crisis.”

As a seasoned case manager, when Cindy was promoted to the Manager position, she invested a lot of energy in training the case management team to ensure that every individual who qualifies for assistance receives the help they need. Her overarching goal is to provide struggling individuals with the tools they need to achieve lasting stability. She and her team have worked together to develop a more effective application process which ensures that clients receive the right help and are also connected with adequate resources from other community organizations and programs.

In addition to her work at Thrive, Cindy is a licensed clinical social worker and has provided mental health therapy to underserved individuals, particularly teenagers, through another agency. She has also served as a coach for the Cash Pilot program through Arlington Guarantee Foundations and is always looking for opportunities to grow and learn.

Cindy’s dedication to her work at Thrive and her community is notable, and her colleagues describe her as a natural leader. As Case Management Manager she provides continuous guidance and mentorship to Thrive’s entire case management team.

When she’s not working, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three-year-old daughter. She and her husband are expecting their second daughter this summer and are excited about the new addition to their family.

Overall, Cindy’s passion for helping others, dedication to her work, and positive attitude make her an invaluable member of the Arlington Thrive team.
