Since the government shutdown, nearly 7,200 furloughed federal workers have applied for unemployment benefits – leaving many struggling to keep up with expenses as paychecks are missed. At Arlington Thrive, we support our neighbors who have given so much to serve our communities. As current and former federal workers navigate this time of uncertainty, Thrive’s collaboration with Feast & Fettle removes one thing off a running list of stressful to-dos.
Feast & Fettle, a premium, fully-prepared meal service launching in Arlington County in January, is arriving in the community ahead of schedule to provide support for federal workers. In partnership with Arlington Thrive, Feast & Fettle is offering a free week of high-quality, fully-prepared meals delivered to federal workers in Arlington County who have been recently furloughed or laid off. Their mission, nourishing everyday life, means more than providing food. It means being there for neighbors when it matters most.
Each order will be delivered directly to the home of those affected and includes hearty, home-style dishes like Chicken Pot Pie, Homestyle Lasagna and sides like Crisp Green Salad and Jasmine Rice —plus fresh-baked blueberry oatmeal muffins and brown butter chocolate chip cookies for a sweet dessert!
- All Home deliveries will be made on Wednesday, October 29
- Open to the first 100 qualifying federal workers in Arlington County
