Abraham, a 67-year-old Alcoholics Anonymous client who faced significant challenges accessing essential healthcare. When Abraham first came to PathForward, he was unable to secure Medicare or Medicaid due to a variety of factors. Additionally, he did not have access to his social security funds, making it impossible for him to refill his medications that he had been without for an extended period due to lack of money. Thanks to Arlington Thrive’s Community Resilience Fund, PathForward was able to step in and provide Abraham with his monthly supply of medications while working to resolve his insurance and income situations. This collaborative effort highlights the critical role partnerships play in ensuring individuals like Abraham receive the care and support they need.
