“I want to say thanks to Arlington Thrive,” Elvira says quickly. “I know this country has a lot of organizations that help people but for me, Arlington Thrive is here for me. In the moment when we really, really needed help, Thrive was here.” The single mother from El Salvador was working as a cashier when Covid struck and her boss announced that she would only work a few hours a week. Elvira is grateful to Thrive for helping to pay her rent so she and her children can stay in their home.
