Santos Marquez

Santos left El Salvador in 2012 seeking new opportunities, and found his way to Arlington where he lives with a friend. He had steady employment in an Italian restaurant until the pandemic forced his employer to drastically cut his hours. With money in short supply, Santos was afraid he would become homeless. A friend told him about Thrive, which has provided him with rent assistance that allows him to stay in his shared apartment. Today Santos is looking for full-time employment and hoping that the pandemic ends soon.
