Arlington Thrive provides support through our Employment Pathways program – a skill building program with comprehensive supports that leverages our institutional strengths and those of partner organizations to open new doors for stability and financial growth.
Recently, Eric*, a 20-year-old expectant father, came to Arlington Thrive seeking financial assistance to enroll in a plumbing training program. Through our partnership with Ground Up Trade & Talent Solutions (GUTTS) and with generous support from foundation partners, Arlington Thrive’s Community Navigator was able to set him up for success – alleviating barriers by covering enrollment fees, providing guidance and mentorship, transportation, and so much more. Today, Eric has successfully completed the program, and he will soon be placed in a paid apprenticeship.
