Jessica's photoMeet Jessica, one of Thrive’s most dedicated and compassionate employees. With her passion for helping others ignited by volunteer work in her local church, Jessica has been working with Thrive since the spring of 2020, starting as a volunteer and now one of our longest-serving employees.

Jessica finds great fulfillment in helping families achieve financial stability, and is constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve Thrive’s client services. Her dedication to Thrive’s mission is unwavering, and she finds strength in the positive impact she is able to have in the lives of the families she serves.

One of Jessica’s most poignant memories at Thrive is of a client she worked with in 2020. Despite several attempts to reach out to the client during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was unable to get in touch with him. Worried about his well-being, Jessica went out of her way to send him a text message from her personal phone, which ultimately led to a social worker contacting her because the gentleman’s wife and son wanted to “reach out to the person who sent that text.” Tragically, the client had passed away from COVID-19, but not before he had contacted Arlington County for assistance and made sure that his family was taken care of. Jessica recalls how the love and selflessness of this husband and father fuels her work even during the most challenging times.

When she’s not busy helping families at Thrive, Jessica finds solace and inspiration in her local parish. She also loves traveling, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Recently, she has been enjoying spending time with her newest family member, an infant niece named Mina, who has come into her life to “prove that miracles are always present.”

Jessica’s dedication, compassion, and drive to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her make her an invaluable member of the Thrive team. Her commitment to our mission is unwavering, and her positive impact on the community is immeasurable.
